Mallon McCormick Solicitors have been in existence in Maghera now since the early 1970s having incorporated Anthony A. McCormick Solicitor in 2008. We are a dynamic law firm dealing in all areas of law to obtain the best results for our clients. Most of our clients are individuals and on their behalf we deal in a wide variety of personal and commercial transactions.
The firm is perfectly situated to satisfy all the requirements of an expanding client base.
The firm’s ethic is to provide for our client’s every legal need by offering professional advice and expertise on a wide range of legal problems.
Joseph Mallon LLB
Joe was educated at Saint Patricks College Maghera and then studied Law in Trinity College Dublin.
He attended the Legal Training Course in Blackhall Place, Dublin in the Law Society of Ireland and served his apprenticeship with Matheson Ormsby Prentice commercial law firm in Dublin. Following qualification in 2004, Joe returned to Maghera where he joined the firm of Anthony A. McCormick. In 2008 Joe became a partner and the firm was re-branded as Mallon McCormick Solicitors.
Joe was delighted to lead the staff to their new premises at the Station Master’s House in November 2015.
Mallon McCormick Solicitors have now been in existence for 10 years in that guise having been 37 years as Anthony A. McCormick Solicitor before then.
Joe is presently a member of the Law Society of Northern Ireland and the Law Society of Ireland.
Joe was formerly the Chairman of the South Derry Solicitors Association.
Joe has an abundance of direct experience in a wide range of legal issues befitting the Principal of a general practice firm.
In 2017 Joe partook in the Civil and Commercial Mediation training organised by the Law Society of NI and Queens University and since then has become a member of the Dispute Resolution Service offering Mediation services to his clients and beyond.
Outside of the law, Joe takes part in Triathlon events all-round the country. He is also the Chairman of the Maghera Development Association and helps out with coaching at Mid Ulster Amateur Swimming Club and with his children’s teams at Watty Grahams GAC, Glen. He is married to Caitriona and has 4 children – Cara, Kate, Erin and Luke.

Enda was educated at the local St Patrick’s College, Maghera and later graduated with his law degree from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown. Enda then attended the College of Law in Chester, England and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He returned back to Northern Ireland and joined in firm in September 2010 as a legal Executive. He was accepted into the Institute of Legal Professional Studies, Queens University, Belfast and began his apprenticeship with our firm. He obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Studies with Commendation from the Institute and qualified as a Solicitor.
Enda has experience in dealing with all areas of law within our practice.
He is the current Treasurer of the South Derry Solicitor’s Association.
Outside of the legal world, Enda has recently retired from a long career playing gaelic football with his club Robert Emmets GAC Slaughtneil and is now a keen runner.

Louise is a past pupil of St Mary’s Grammar School, Magherafelt and studied Law at University of Ulster, Jordanstown where she obtained an LLB Honours Degree in Law. Upon completion of her Degree she was selected by Ulster University to deliver the Student Address at her Graduation in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast. Louise joined our firm in 2011 and commenced her training as an apprentice Solicitor at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queen’s University, Belfast. During the course of her studies Louise was awarded first place in the Law Society Solicitor Accounts examination 2014. Following completion of her apprenticeship Louise was formally admitted onto the Roll of Solicitors in September 2014. Since her admission Louise has held the position of Associate Solicitor and has experience in all areas of law practiced within the Firm. Outside of the law Louise is a playing member of her local Gaelic Football club, Desertmartin GAC.

Linda joined the Firm in 2001 as a book keeper. She progressively became more involved in the day to day running of the business and in 2015 became manager of Mallon McCormick.
Linda is responsible for keeping our practice compliant with our obligations to the Law Society of Northern Ireland.
Her duties include accounts, payroll, credit control, invoicing as well as all aspects of the day to day running of a very busy practice.
